A Brief History of Seat
Seat was founded in 1950 and holds its main office in Martorell, just outside Barcelona. Starting in the local Spanish market, Seat expanded to become one of the best-known car brands in Europe. In 1986, Seat became a subsidiary of Volkswagen. Seat now markets themselves as “passionate perfectionists”, a marriage of Spanish and German qualities, as seen through their range of efficient cars with lively designs.
