A: Autotecnic is a specialist independent vehicle repair and servicing centre based in Sheffield. We offer expert care for AUDI, BMW, CUPRA, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, SEAT, SKODA and VW vehicles, covering everything from routine servicing and MOTs to advanced diagnostics, and repairs.

A: We always try to accommodate last-minute bookings where possible. Give us a call, and we’ll do our best to fit you in.

Q: How long does a service usually take?

A: It depends on the type of service:

  • Interim service: 1–2 hours
  • Full service: 3–4 hours
  • MOT test: Around 50 - 60 minutes

If any additional repairs are required, we’ll keep you informed of any additional costs and provide an estimated completion time.

Q: Do you offer while-you-wait services?

A: Yes! For short jobs like MOT tests, oil changes, and basic diagnostics (protocol printout only), you’re welcome to wait in our customer lounge, with refreshments and free WiFi.

A: Absolutely! We have dealer-level diagnostic equipment for these brands, allowing us to pinpoint and fix issues accurately.

4. MOTs and Vehicle Inspections

Q: How much does an MOT test cost?

A: Our MOT test cost is £54.85. If your car needs minor adjustments to pass, we’ll always consult you before proceeding.

Q: Can I get my MOT and service done on the same day?

A: Yes, many customers prefer to combine their annual service with an MOT test for convenience.

Q: What happens if my car fails its MOT?

A: If your car fails, we’ll provide a detailed report outlining the issues and present estimated costs. We can carry out the necessary repairs and retest your vehicle as soon as possible.

A: Yes, we have fixed-price servicing for AUDI, BMW, CUPRA, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, SEAT, SKODA and VW

Q: Do you provide a warranty on repairs?

A: Yes! All our repairs are covered by a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first.

Q: Will servicing my car at Autotecnic affect my manufacturer’s warranty?

A: No, we follow manufacturer-approved servicing procedures, fit Genuine or OEM parts and use only approved oils, meaning your warranty remains intact and we also update your digital service records.

Q: Do you provide a courtesy car while mine is being repaired?

A: Yes, we offer courtesy cars on request. Please mention this when booking (Terms & Conditions apply).

Q: Can I wait while my car is being serviced?

A: Yes, we have a comfortable waiting area with refreshments and free WiFi.
